There are a several projects underway to evaluate the Unplugged activities. Here are some papers that have been published about Unplugged in the past. - A "birds of a feather" session at SIGCS2008 yielded lots of ideas for Computer Science Unplugged and Outreach.
- In the process of translating Unplugged activities for a variety of languages and cultures we encountered a number of unexpected issues. This poster (presented at SIGCSE 2008) documents some of the lessons learned in the process.

In Australasian Computer Science Conference 2000 (ACSC 2000), 31 January - 3 February 2000, Canberra, Australia, pages 10-16, 2000. This paper is about using the unplugged material as a show in a school or science centre. A low quality video of this show is available on request; we are working on producing a higher quality video.

This paper describes in some detail cryptographic systems that can be demonstrated to high school students; some can even be used with elementary age students.
